«Murder attempt» on Solovyov
Vladimir Solovyov
Since 2012, Vladimir Rudolfovich Solovyov (°1963) has been the presenter of the television talk show An Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on Russia 1, a programme which is unparalleled in terms of insults and fake news.

In terms of insults and fake news, Solovyov is no less than Olga Skabeeva. In June 2017, he called the participants in an anti-corruption demonstration in Moscow «the eternal two percent shit». He also said that Adolf Hitler was «a brave man compared to opposition leader Alexei Navalny». When discussing the possibility of a Third World War and a nuclear war, the editor-in-chief of the foreign-oriented Russian state channel Russia Today, Margarita Simonovna Simonyan (°1980), said in his programme: «Personally, I think the most realistic way is the path of the Third World War. Knowing our leader, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, I know that we will never give up... We will all die one day». Solovyov added: «But we will go to heaven, while they will just croak». On August 18, 2022, he suggested to attack Berlin, Paris, London and Brussels with missiles. In late November 2022, Solovyov suggested that Russia should attack Norway, since NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is Norwegian. Solovyov has repeatedly called on Russia to escalate the war with nuclear strikes.

Novaya Gazeta's analysis of Solovyov's career casts doubt on his real current deep commitment to the values and interests of the Putin regime. At the beginning of his career, Solovyov was a respected independent journalist. In 2013, for example, he rejected the idea of annexing Crimea, warning that it could lead to an unjustified war and calling the peninsula legally part of Ukraine. But that didn’t last long, because just a year later, after Russia’s annexation of Crimea, he declared: «Crimea and Sevastopol are finally part of Russia again. Historical justice has been done».
The «murder attempt»
In April 2022, President Vladimir Putin wanted to support his vassal. He ordered the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to stage an assassination attempt on Vladimir Solovyov by «Ukrainian Nazis». Among other things, they had to leave a note «with an illegible signature» in their hideout.
On April 27, 2022, the FSB did so meticulously – very meticulously. They staged a search of the apartment of the alleged conspirators and then released a video of the raid. On it were the «found evidence»: a green wig, three Sims video game boxes, a Nazi-style T-shirt, a portrait of Adolf Hitler, Ukrainian passports and… a note that read: «Timoche. Thank you for your invaluable support… Kill to live, live to kill».
And, literally as instructed, the note was signed «Подпись Нераздорчива» or, in English: «Unreadable Signature».

By the way, Solovyov doesn’t really need Putin’s help to save his skin in an emergency. The Фонд борьбы с коррупцией (ФБК) [Fond borby s korruptsiyej (FBK) or Anti-Corruption Fund (ACF) discovered that Solovyov owns several properties in the European Union, including a villa on Lake Como in Italy. In January 2019, the ACF discovered a second Solvyov villa on Lake Como, a house in the mountains, and another on the coast. In July 2019, the ACF discovered that Solovyov even has a permanent residence permit in Italy. The next day, ACF founder Alexei Navalny was arrested. In February 2022, the government agency Roskomnadzor demanded that all media outlets remove their publications about the ACF investigations, including those containing information about Solovyov’s Italian assets.
On February 23, 2022, one day before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Solovyov was sanctioned by the European Union and banned from entering EU countries as long as the sanctions remained in place. All of his assets based in the EU were frozen.
But Solovyov, who constantly insists on preserving traditional family values in Russia and professes to hate the United States, has another iron in the fire that directly contradicts this stance. In addition to a wife and eight children from three marriages, he has a second family, of which the wife and the two children – twin girls – appear to have American citizenship. It concerns former basketball player Svetlana Olegovna Abrosimova (°1980) and her children Margarita Vladimirovna and Maria Vladimirovna - they obviously owe the patronymic Vladimirovna to Solovyov. Abrosimova owns a 650 square meter villa with a swimming pool on the beach in Sochi. However, her name was erased from all official registers, a favour which is normally only given to important politicians, prominent members of the secret service FSB or propagandists of the regime - to ensure their safety. The same thing happened to her apartment in Moscow. Her name was erased from the register and her flat is now officially in the hands of the Russian state.
